Longer walks. More sniff stops. An entire park full of things that apparently require investigation. Outdoor season has excellent potential, provided my human remembers that reading the label is part of packing.
Meet Go Flea Yourself
Go Flea Yourself is an essential-oil spray whose listed ingredients include peppermint, lemon, clary sage, and citronella, alongside distilled water, organic apple cider vinegar, and grain alcohol. Big name. Plenty of personality. Still a product that needs to be used according to its label.
The Important Bits Come Before the Strut
The product listing gives these directions and cautions:
- Shake well before use.
- Mist the dog and their bedding as directed.
- Avoid spraying faces and paws.
- Avoid use with pregnant animals.
- Not for use on cats.
- For external use only.
Read the current packaging before using it, and ask your veterinarian whether it is appropriate for your individual dog if you have questions. An essential-oil ingredient list is not a promise that a product suits every animal.
No Bug-Free Promises Here
We aren't promising protection against fleas, ticks, or mosquitoes, or presenting this spray as a substitute for veterinary parasite prevention. The product listing states: “This product is not certified through Health Canada's Pesticide Compliance Program.” Discuss parasite prevention with your veterinarian rather than relying on a cheeky product name.
